Completed Projects in Matara

Since 2005 we realized four projects for for children who where orphaned (full or half) in the 2004 Tsunami and socially disadvantaged children in Matara:

1. Hostel at the Rahula College  [80 Boys],
2. Hostel at the Sujatha Vidyalaya  [48 Girls],
3. An assembly hall and class rooms at the Rohana Vidyalaya (a school for deaf, blind and mentally challenged children),
4. The construction and furnishing of a handcraft centre (wood-, metal- and paintwork) at the Rahula College to promote professional education.

Furthermore we award scholarships to pupils from economically weak families in Matara. And last but not least lots of pupils from Matara and Neuwied have become penpals.
